Fall Pre-Emergent for Bermuda Grass
Fall pre-emergent is about stopping winter weeds before they ever become a problem. For established Bermuda grass, the two active ingredients I focus on most are **prodiamine** and **indaziflam**. Prodiamine is my economical workhorse and makes a lot of sense if you already have a sprayer. **Specticle FLO**, which contains indaziflam, is the premium professional option with strong residual control but a much higher upfront cost. It contains indaziflam in an easy-to-apply granular product. At its labeled rate, it delivers an amount of indaziflam remarkably close to Specticle FLO applied at 6 fl oz per acre, making it one of the easiest ways for a homeowner to incorporate this active ingredient without buying professional-sized product. I recommend 2500-3000 SF max from a 10lb bag as a good barrier.
